Little Hen Rescue highly recommends these houses, having experienced keeping our own resident and injured hens in our donated houses and runs. We have learned that not being wooden they are very easy to clean, they don't need any maintenance such as painting, they do not rot and are especially good because parasites such as red mite can not survive in them.

We like ours delivered by happy chickens. That's why we created Chicubes. Ordinarily, chicken houses are constructed from wood and soon look past their best. Keeping a wooden coop clean and odour free is always a challenge as the yucky smelly stuff gets into the grain of the wood and it's then near impossible to get back to it's best. Chicubes are different...
We took a long hard look at existing chicken coops and re-engineered a solution using modern fabrication techniques and materials. As the old adage goes, 'If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing right!'. We believe our Chicubes are the perfect solution for keeping birds and small animals safe, secure and happy with the minimum of hassle.
Our Chicubes come in four sizes, with a choice of four different colours. There's also a growing range of accessories to keep your chickens/animals in the 'lap of luxury'. All Chicubes feature the same easy clean design (spray or wipe down) with hinged lids and stays for inspecting your little friends.

The new innovative wooden Chicubes are made from Keruing which is a hardwood and is very strong. The idea behind the wooden Chicubes is to provide a more traditional look but still provide you with an easy to clean house. Each one of our wooden houses comes with a removable fibre glass and resin internal shell. This can be easily lifted out of the Chicube by one person so it can be cleaned. It is light weight but very strong and durable and has a smooth finnish, meaning that dirt and muck can easily be removed from the inside of the house.
Each of our wooden Chicubes and the internal shells is hand made at our factory in Staffordshire by highly skilled joiners and cabinet makers, meaning that each Chicube is always produced to the highest standards and of the best quality.
We are able to make wooden Chicubes from a variety of different woods including Teak, Utile, Oak and Cedar as well as many others. If you would like a wooden Chicube made from one of these woods please contact us for further information and prices.

This run is extremely strong, made from 10 gauge galvanised weld-mesh sheets. It comes with a hatch in the run to allow you to let your chickens out into the garden if you want to. The run is completely secure with the hatch flap closed. Around the base of the run is a fox flap (approximately 20cm wide) which can be pegged into the ground. This flap provides added security against predators such as foxes, stopping their ability to dig under the side of the run. We recommend that you position your run on firm ground to further prevent the chance of a predator entering your chicken run. Pegs cab be provided to pin the flap to the ground if you require them.
There is a hinged flap on the roof of the run, allowing easy access to the door of of the chicken house, as well as easy access to food and water containers.

The Run Cover/Shade is a plastic sheet that attached to the Chicube run, protects your little buddies from rain as well as strong sun.
Made from very strong and durable industrial material. It will not tear or rip easily and will not fade in the sun.
It can be easily attached to the run using the hooks that come with it. The hooks are fixed to the cover with elasticated cords, so you can get the perfect tight fit. No need to worry about flapping covers to scare your chickens. These are fixed through brass eyes, so no need to worry about wear around the edges or tearing.

Each walk-in Chicube comes with adjustable ventilation. An exterior flap allows you to let more or less air in depending upon the season. This can be seen in the photographs above.
